Uninterrupted Power Supplies (UPS) are integrated units that are installed between the main power feeding in and the load being supplied.
A UPS provides a seamless transfer from main supply to the onboard batteries. This allows the system protected to be either shut down safely or allow for an on-site generator to be started.
Provides over current and voltage surge protection to critical equipment
Provides instant change in source power to ensure sudden shutdowns are avoided, protecting assets and data
The size of the UPS will be dictated by the amount of load and the time of autonomy required. This time can be up to 8 hours. A UPS can be used in conjunction with a backup generator extending the time of autonomy from mains power supply.
